Determination of PCE Based on Motorcycle Behavior at Signalized Intersections in Denpasar, Bali

چکیده
A very high proportion of motorcycles affect the saturated flow and motorcycle behavior in synergy stores developing countries such as Indonesia. The Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) previous research have not adopted to determine efficiency passenger cars synergy. This study aims assess PCE based on with without Exclusive Stopping Space for Motorcycles (ESSM). reservoir's location was a junction volume, low side obstacles, traffic characteristics at an approach width 3 meters, 5 7 meters Denpasar City. survey method divides lane virtually, size headway field. At same time, analyzed using discharge both normal distributed data log normal. Linear regression analysis used junctions ESSM ESSM. Based behavior, highest value is obtained beside (0.1-1.2) lowest front stop line (0.06-0.8). In determining PCE, it recommended adopt motorcycle's behavior.

Aggressiveness propensity index for driving behavior at signalized intersections.
The development of a quantitative intersection aggressiveness propensity index (API) is described in this paper. The index is intended to capture the overall propensity for aggressive driving to be experienced at a given signalized intersection. The index is a latent quantity that can be estimated from observed environmental, situational and driving behavior variables using structural equations...
متن کاملDelay Variability at Signalized Intersections
Delays that individual vehicles may experience at a signalized intersection are usually subject to large variation due to randomness of traffic arrivals and interruption caused by traffic signal control. While such variation may have important implications for the planning, design and analysis of signal controls, currently there is no analytical model available to quantify it. This paper descri...
متن کاملPerception of Waiting Time at Signalized Intersections
Introduction Perceived waiting time (PWT) at signalized intersections differs from the real value of waiting time (WT), and varies with signal design. The onerousness of delay depends on the conditions under which it is experienced. Using weighted travel time may contribute to optimal signal control if its use can improve upon assuming that all time is weighted equally by users. This research e...
متن کاملVideo-Based Monitoring of Pedestrian Movements at Signalized Intersections
Pedestrian and cyclist crossing characteristics are important for the design of urban intersections and signalized crossings. Parameters, such as waiting time, crossing time, and arrival rate are key variables for describing pedestrian characteristics and improving crossing design and signal timing plan. Manually collecting such data is often extremely labor intensive. Therefore, we introduce a...
متن کاملEvaluation of bike boxes at signalized intersections.
This paper presents a before-after study of bike boxes at 10 signalized intersections in Portland, Oregon. The bike boxes, also known as advanced stop lines or advanced stop boxes, were installed to increase visibility of cyclists and reduce conflicts between motor vehicles and cyclists, particularly in potential "right-hook" situations. Before and after video were analyzed for seven intersecti...
